One of the nice things about the site is the ability to quickly post something you’ve found on the internet when ever you want.  Most of you probably don’t know how to do this but you’d be surprised how easy and effective this little tool is.

First let’s start with the basics.  Where is this thing and what do I do with it?  Alright, when you enter the administration page and go to write a post, at the bottom of the Write Post page you will see an area called “Wordpress Bookmarklet”.  There will also be a link right below it.  Do as it says, right-click on the link and either select “Add to Favorites…” or “Bookmark This Link…” depending on your browser. Now look in your Favorites (or Bookmarks) and you will see an item that says “Press It - Blainweb.com”.  If you have this then you’ve done this activity correctly.

Now you are ready to bookmark anything you want to a Blainweb post.  It is very simple.  Say you saw a webpage with something that you really wanted to share, whether a text from a book, a story, or anything you don’t have to do any remembering or fancy clicking to post that web page to a Blainweb post.  While you are on that page, simply select the previously mentioned item (’Press It - Blainweb.com’) from your Favorites (or Bookmarks) and you will instantly be taken to a post page with relevant information already added.

Let’s say I wanted to tell everyone about Kittenwar.com.  I would just goto the site, select the “Press It - Blainweb.com” and all the necessary information is already there!

I’ve been  really enjoying working with my screen captures, so I figured I would give this one a go to.  Here’s an example of how to use the Bookmarklet.
