I saw Stephen Baldwin and his wife on TBN today. You know he is an actor and he is one of the Baldwin brothers(Alec). They have such a testimony and his wife became a Believer and she had to work on him about a year.
They have a wonderful youth ministry and they are reaching lots of street kids. They live in New York and travel around the country with the evangelist Luis Palu(spelling?)
They use skateboarding and BMX bikes to help reach the kids and set-up ramps that are carried in a semi to draw the kids in.
It was soo inspiring
Take a look when you get a chance

My boy, Curt

Yup, he is my boy too. It is so great to be able to bring a total stranger into your family and within a very short time feel like you raised him along with your own brood. Each child is unique and special and I have posted about the academics of my other kids, but besides loving my firstborn and providing us with two wonderful grandkids, Curt is very special to me in many ways. He has always placed his family as priority and his walk with the Lord. Curt may not want me to inform you of some of this, but when you are bubbling over with info on your kids, it is hard to keep to yourself.

Curt has worked hard and diligently to place himself in an occupation that will provide for his family and has accomplished this with great success. He is working full time and still pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree in the evening. This is no small task, but Curt has risen to the occasion with as minimal impact to his family as possible. As Karis has posted, Curt has applied for a managerial position with PanTex. It has always been a great joy to be asked by Curt how to make his resume standout or how should I conduct this interview (very pleased Papa here). He has taken the extra step at every turn to make sure that he presents himself as a unique individual worthy to be considered for each role or position. And just to let you know, he has made that happen. Curt was interviewed by his direct supervisor’s manager so he knew Curt and was aware of his work ethic. The second interviewer was another manager at PanTex and directly after his interview, sought out Curt’s supervisor to ask more about him. (Only reason for this would be that the interview went well and he was being looked at very closely for the position.) Today I spoke with Curt and he was told that there were 18 resumes submitted for the 6 positions and that after the resumes were ranked, his was in the top 5. (Can you feel the beaming face on this Dad?? If you can’t, it is believe me). Gail and I have been very blessed with our son, Curt and are just waiting with anticipation to see the way God is going to work in this situation — Excitement beyond compare!!!!!

Our wonderful son

Well Joseph is learning new things everyday. We are very excited with his progress in preschool. As most of you know I have not enjoyed my first taste of Parent-Teacher Conferences. I know Kent and it echoes in my head all the time when you said “You have just begun your time with teachers”.
Ron and I prayed to have a child as you guys also along with Lubbock, Farwell and Hereford. When Ron and I were praying we also prayed that the Lord would provide the means for Christian schooling for them.
As I have learned so many times that it is God’s timing and only when he wants a blessing to occur will it happen. Oh what a blessing it has been.
Just last night Ron and I were talking about our many many blessings and I almost feel guilty at times that we have been so blessed.
Of course when you start feeling satisfied and comfortable here comes Satan to stir the pot.
I almost hate to tell people I like my job because people look at you so funny. I feel like I have the best of both worlds. I can be a Mom and attend school functions and also have a career.
We are putting Joseph in Trinity next year and we are so excited that the LORD has provided for us.
We feel it is so important that we do this to make sure Joseph is being prayed for daily and also taught the love of GOD all day long.
Well I know this has turned into mumbo jumbo of subjects.
Joseph made me flowers at school out of the egg cartons and tissue paper and in his own writing he wrote I Love You Mom. I was just crying and of course Joseph did not understand why and I explained that he better get use to his Mom crying when I was not hurt.
Anyway of course I keep everything he makes but that was for Mother’s Day and of course I was also crying as that would have made MeMe cry also.
Well I am glad we have this site and I have been educated to read and make comments

Braggin on Britt

Just wanted to put in my praises for my daughter. Of course, you all know I am so very proud of her. Her dream/vision is to have a bed and breakfast one day, and I know it is going to happen. She has started working part time at Kaiserhoff, which is owned by the Lutheran Church, but ran by Denise, one of Gary and Sherry’s friends. Apparently, the church didn’t really catch the vision for this place so Denise has weddings, reunions, etc., and Britt is helping her host and do some work in the office. It works great for Britt because she lets Denise know her schedule at Starbucks and they work around that. She is going in for a couple of hours today after she gets off. I went out on Sunday to see the place and it is so peaceful and nice. It is on the way to Tomball, can house upwards of 100 people in one building, has a pool, volleyball, a pond with kayakes and canoes, a chapel and is very wooded. I believe this is preparing Britt for greater things.
She also loves to cook, which is great for me because I hate to cook. I feel like I am eating better now than I ever have, as she likes healthy!!! It’s like eating at a restaurant because even her presentation is appetizing.
She has met some friends at Lakewood Church, and it seems everywhere we go someone recognizes her, either from Starbucks or church.
Britt is my pride and joy, and I am so thankful she is with me at this time. Thanks for remembering us in your prayers. Will continue to update you on her as things come up.
